About Us
True North Mapping PMB has been operating in Pietermaritzburg for the last 15 years.
We supply GIS, GPS and CAD related work throughout Southern Africa.
The two members of True North Mapping PMB are Alta Muir and Shaun Anderson - both registered GIS Experts.
Shaun has more than 30 years GIS, Mapping, CAD and GPS related experience as well as a strong Town and Regional Planning background.
Alta also boasts more than 30 years GIS and Mapping experience with her main focus being in the Forestry sector.
Our Services
Geographic Information Systems
At True North Mapping we are well versed in all aspects of GIS. We have successfully completed hundreds of GIS related projects ranging from basic GIS conversions to high-end analysis.
Mapping
While our mapping expertise mainly focuses on the Town and Regional Planning, Environmental Management, Forestry and Agricultural sectors, we are able to offer a high quality service to almost any industry.
GPS Surveys
Our in-house GPS abilities and equipment, coupled with our many years of experience, allow us to carry out GPS surveys for mapping in the various sectors.
Training
We offer training in GIS, Field Data Collection, use of GPS and Mapping. We customise our training programs to meet the needs of every client. Training is offered on-site, at your office, at our facility or online.
Software
We have partnered with software developers to offer software solutions to suit most industry related needs. Our software suites include Mobile Data Collection tools, Web Applications, Web-based Maps and Mobile GIS tools.
